Ciao! My name is Christina and I am a peanut butter addict! I started this blog in May 2011 to track my fitness goals, running, eating healthy and sharing my life to you!

(me on the right)

I will also share with you my love of fashion, traveling, living a healthy lifestyle, and finding balance! Oh I almost forgot and my love of peanut butter too ;)!

About Christina

I am 19 years old and I attend the University of Iowa! GO HAWKEYES!

I will be a sophmore in the fall  and I am double majoring in political science/psychology.  After my first year in college I managed to loose weight instead of gaining weight by exercising and “eating right”. I also lost weight during my first year because I was a little depressed, homesick, and the food was awful (especialy for someone with Celiac disease like me). After first semester was over my second semester was better than ever.  I grew up in a suburb of Chicago called Palos Park. I love Chicago for all of its fun events to do in the summer but I have no intentions of moving back there when I finish college. My journey to fitness was a long uphill battle!

Lets begin shall we? All my life my mom enouraged me to try new sports so that I could stay active. I played soccer, lacrosse and swimming. Oh swimming. I was a competive swimmer for 5 years until I injured my shoulder. I started swimming as a way to stay active but I got better after  every meet. So when my freshman year came around in highschool I tried out for the swimming team. I made it and I was so excited! Unfortunately during one day at swim practice I imjured my shoulder and down went my swimming career. After a year and half of not doing any physical activity I felt awful. So when I was a sophmore I joined lacrosse to keep me active.  After a year or so of doing lacrosse I became sick of it and stoped doing physical activity. Then it all started in March of 2010 when i wanted to make a change for myself. I wanted to stop feeling awful and work towards a healthy lifestyle. I also wanted to fit into my prom dress and look gorgeous in it too. So I started to follow workouts that I found online. After two months or so I was getting bored with them so I considered to start running. I did the treadmill version of the couch to 5k program and I lost a significant amount of weight! I went from being 155lbs to 135lbs!  It also helped me establish my love for running. I have never done a race yet because I am scared of all those people watching me! (I do not know why maybe I am weird?) Maybe if I sign up for a few races it will help me get over my fear of running in public?

I normally workout 3-6 days a week depending on how busy my week is. I started this blog as way to track my workouts/runs on a daily basis and plan them when I go back to school!

I hope you all enjoy my blog!
